Softball Teams and Leagues

Develop your softball game by joining a team or league at Sanford Sports Academy. You’ll learn essential skills like hitting, pitching and fielding and put them to the test in real team competitions.

Our teams and leagues include:

Spring/summer teams: Available for girls in grades three to 12. Learn more
Pitching machine league: Available for girls ages 10 to 14. Learn more
Spring indoor league: Available for girls ages five to eight. Learn more

Each team’s schedule and tournaments are driven by Sanford Sports Academy’s three main program pillars – bettering athletes, achieving goals and providing an unforgettable experience.

This is made possible by our experienced coaching staff who all share a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of young athletes.

Spring/Summer Teams

Spring/summer teams are available for girls in grades three to 12. The season kicks off in March and concludes in August.

Practices: Twice weekly at the Sanford Diamonds

Competition: Eight to 10 regional and national tournaments

Tryouts are closed for the 2026 season. Tryouts for the 2027 season are expected to be held in July or August.

Pitching Machine League

Pitching machine league is available for girls ages seven to eight. The league starts in September and concludes in October.

Sanford Sports Academy offers a variety of camps and clinics year-round at the Sanford Fieldhouse. Whether it’s a one-day clinic or a multi-day camp, each session is tailored to specific skills and age groups, with options available for all experience levels.

Sanford Sports Academy offers seasonal Youth Academy programs for athletes in kindergarten through 8th grade, welcoming all skill levels. Held at the Sanford Diamonds or Sanford Fieldhouse, each session focuses on developing key softball skills, including throwing, fielding, hitting, catching, and game play.

Sanford Sports Academy offers Winter Training at the Sanford Fieldhouse from November through March, exclusively for athletes on its club softball teams (10U–18U). Training sessions are open to all skill levels and designed to support player development throughout the off-season.
